Sounds like bad RAM. First thing I'd do is setenv selftest-megs# to
whatever your RAM size is, then run test-memory a couple times
( especially right after such a crash )

PS: why do you torture yourself with Solaris 2.5? You can at least run
2.6 and if you don't need ISDN ( but want wireless LAN for instance )
there's also NetBSD.
