[SPARCbook] Considering shutting down this list

Two notes.

First, perhaps instead of shutting it down, the list could renamed/repurposed
to encompass portables either (a) based on the Sparc processor or (b) running
Solaris variants.  I get the impression that many folks with systems (a)
also have or are interested in system (b).

Second, it's long puzzled me that Sun itself hasn't built a (modern)
portable based around the Sparc CPU.  I imagine that many of us with
aging 3GX's and Ultrabooks and whatnot would like to get our hands on
something designed around a contemporary CPU and price-competitive with
Apple's offerings.  I find myself wondering if there's consensus among
list-members on this, and if so, whether a joint letter to Sun is in order.
