As long as we are talking about replacements for a Sparkbook:
I am currently using a Macintosh Powerbook (500 mhz./1 gig RAM/30 Gig drive)
to run MacOS X. (Mac OS/X is a variant of the Berkely BSD Unix Kernel.)
AND.... it is wireless through it's built -in 802.11b "Airport" card.
It rocks through a terminal session, shell, Apache, FTP, DNS, and a host of
other native Unix Protocols.
I find that as a replacement for my Sparkbook... I never even turn on my
sparkbook anymore.
My 2.
