Did you vreate the device files fpr the disk ? They should be /dev/dsk/c1d0s?. If they don't exist try /usr/sbin/disks with the card plugged in. I never got it formatted on my 3GX so I
simply took it to some Wintel Laptop, formatted it and then I was able to mount it from /dev/dsk/c1d0s2:c
( I guess the missing /dev in you path is accidential ... )
