Just for the record - 256Mb is not possible on the XP/XS/GS/GX/TX range of
machines: only the S3000 supports that much RAM.  I'm unclear about the
physical/electrical aspects of the design, but yes, it was a custom one,
and to help things along it required a fairly large change in the way that
both OBP and the kernel/boot loader typed up the RAM.
