I had never tried booting from this CDROM because I had _assumed_ that
it used 2048 byte blocks, since it came with a Windows laptop. I also
had never set it up on my 3GX. I booted the 3GX from the CDROM using a
Sol2.6 install CD. I broke out of the installation and shutdown.
Today, I did a probe-scsi with the CDROM attached:
Matshitakme CD-ROM02 1.13
I did a boot -r and got the following items in dmesg:
sd3 at esp0: target 3 lun 0
sd3 is
/iommu at 0,10000000/sbus at 0,10001000/espdma at 4,8400000/esp at 4,8800000/sd at 3,0
<IBM-DPRS-21215 cyl 9282 alt 2 hd 8 sec 32>
sd5 at esp0: target 6 lun 0
sd5 is
/iommu at 0,10000000/sbus at 0,10001000/espdma at 4,8400000/esp at 4,8800000/sd at 6,0
Seems to work fine - vold mounts it automatically when a CD is put in.
I found a Sun 30" cable with AMP connectors - it's not too bulky.
