Don't see a reason why it shouldn't - but keep in mind that the serial
ports of your SB do only 38400 reliably and only under 2.6 upwards.
Under 2.5.1 I had dropped characters everywhere and 95% CPU load when
transfering data via sz... so I would prefer a PCMCIA modem.
