[SPARCbook] Solaris 2.5.1?

Hi, I'm wondering if pcmcia works on Sparcbook 3GX's with solaris 2.5.1?
When I put on a couple of the Tadpole patches last week, it decided it
didn't like to boot, and today I am finally going to be able to get access
to an external scsi cd drive.  Will i be able to get a pcmcia 3com net
card working in 2.5.1, or should I wait untill I can install solaris 2.6?
