[SPARCbook] Alternate AC Adapters?

As my newly received Sparcbook 3gx's AC adapter is a fire hazard (as well
as not working), I am in search of an alternate AC adapter.  I am leaving
town in a couple of days, and would like to take my sparcbook, so ordering
one from Tadpole isn't really viable.  The back of the unit states that it
wants 14V, 4.6A; so I assume a generic adapter meeting those specs should
work.  Has anyone had any luck (or the guts to try) an adaptor from
another laptop or a generic adapter available at say Radio Shack?  Any
help/ideas would be appreciated.
