Hi,
I'm wondering weather any OS's other then solaris will use sparcbook
specific hardware, such as sound, and especially pcmcia. It seems that
neither linux nor netbsd has the ability to use them, has anyone had any
expearance otherwise? I'm wondering if its mostly because the devolpers
don't have a system to test it on, or if its because there isnt that much
demand to justify the work, if the tadpole docs don't have all the needed
information, or maybe just bad luck on my part. I did look at the docs,
and they seemed like they would be helpfull, but I haven't programmed
anything outside of console stuff, and nothing even close to a driver, so
I don't know exactly whats needed. If anyone is trying to work on a
driver and needs a test system I can try to run it on mine (assuming I get
free time, my first exam is monday @ 8am, and I have no idea how bad my
scedule for classes will be next semester).
Mike
