I chose to use /usr/5bin/date because it accepted the format, =
"mmddhhmmyy".
I set the date to 12/13/99 23:58 and waited for the clock to roll over =
into the year 2000.

# /usr/5bin/date 1231235899
Fri Dec 31 23:58:00 EST 1999
# date
Fri Dec 31 23:58:58 EST 1999
# date
Fri Dec 31 23:59:53 EST 1999
# date
Sat Jan 1 00:00:01 EST 2000

I then set the date and time without specifying the year and I was back =
in business!

# /usr/5bin/date 08311219
Thu Aug 31 12:19:00 EDT 2000
