The 3c509 (also called EtherLink III )is one of the most widely used ethernet
controllers and exists in a variety of designs:
there exist at least 4 versions of the 3c509: one for ISA, one for PCI, one for
PCMCIA and - maybe I'm wrong here - one for MCA. Maybe there was even an EISA
version.
