[rescue] Sun 3 with SCSI2SD

not sure it helps but I have SCSI2SD working on Sun i386, SS20 and E4K. Mileage might vary on the 68K machines...
Have you setup/validated termination on the bus? Is the SCSI bus known working?
Can you boot off tape or netboot and then see the disk?
