"Plastic covers"?

OH ...  on the RJ45 adapter?  No, I don't think so, on the one I have
the plastic shell is the only thing holding it together, and also forms
the RJ45 jack.  If I take the shell off I'll be left with mostly a
handful of loose bits of wire.
