If getting the IPX to boot past the NVRAM error message is the problem ,
http://www.sunhelp.org/pipermail/rescue/2001-May/025217.html may help.

Hi All

Just hit an issue with current versions of the M48t02 chip which I have
seen
on SS2s as well.

The later boot prom on the SS2 reports an error with these 48t02 chips
during
POST, but works fine when booted and has correct time and ID info. I have
the
SS2 image, but the IPX appears the same with 1177-04, I would like to try
an
earlier version if anyone knows of an image anywhere?

They would be 525-1177-01 -> 03

Thanks

Peter
