Unless you have a very specific need for 1.1.1 (a.k.a.  SunOS 4.1.3_U1),
you probably want at least 1.1.1B (SunOS 4.1.3_U1B) or the very latest
1.1.2 (SunOS 4.1.4). 4.1.4 could be made Y2K-compliant, and was supported
longer. You can even run gcc 2.95.3 and I think some of the early 3.x on it.

And on a SPARCstation 10 you can run Solaris up to 8 or 9, or NetBSD or
OpenBSD as well.
