Ok, a bit more playing and it's obvious that the CG3 I have won't play nice
with any screens I have.

Anyone got a CG6, preferably TGX since they'll play at 60 hz, they'd sell
cheap? Or a S24 since 24 bit would be nice but I'm not sure what it can
actually do - the framebuffer faq is pretty thin on it.
