That's part and parcel of the over-engineering. Over-engineering is a
word with two definitions: excessive capability for purpose OR excessive
complexity for purpose.
In the SBus systems, particularly the pizzabox workstations, Sun managed
to hit both notes on a regular basis.
Steel chassis built to survive the apocalypse, system cooling that would
fail if the HDD ran too hot.
