As best as I can tell, it uses an MVA panel, which is better than a TN
panel, but not quite as good as an IPS panel.  I have a TN panel Viewsonic
next to it, and the color reproduction and brightness of the Viewsonic
looks like trash compared it it.  I had to do some tweaking of settings
initially to make it look good, but now it's not much worse than the 23"
1080p Dell Ultrasharp monitors I had before it.
