Absolutely agree -- that was just /incredibly/ stupid.

Also, given that the desktop is Windows' core strength and the only
reason to want a Windows RT device, they didn't put in a ticky-box
like there is in Android saying "allow 3rd party apps", so that people
could install ARM-compiled Win32 apps if they wanted.

No, the users are trapped in Metro /except/ for MICROS~1's own
half-assed Office offering.
