True, and not only that.

The first big feature I assembled and edited for PC Pro magazine was
for Windows NT workstation machines, because at that time, many
cloners could not build a machine that was "clean" enough to run NT
successfully. My editor was dubious, but ran with it, and it was a big
hit. Really separated the men from the boys among British PC builders
of the mid-1990s -- few had the nous to know how to build an
NT-compatible machine. They threw together whatever was cheap and
quick to make boxes that could only run Win95, often with a bunch of
special 3rd party drivers to get things working.

But we did it, and the readers loved it.
