[rescue] Sun 4/40 External HDD SCSI timeout

Hello,
Below you will find what happens booting IPC SPARCstation with the
external drive disconnected.
Messages at boot are reported below:
......
checking filesystems
/dev/rsd0a
/dev/rsd0a
/dev/rsd0g
/dev/rsd0g
After a long pause system response:
Can't open /dev/rsd3h
(null): CAN'T CHECK FILE SYSTEM.
(null): UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck
MANUALLY.
Reboot failed ... help !
