[rescue] OS for ZFS?

There are close to 2-dozen different open source Solaris based options 
that have no ties to Oracle.

Some are generic, some have a focused purpose, i.e. NAS box.

OpenIndiana is by far the most popular general purpose distro.  Joyent 
is doing incredible things with SmartOS.

There are many *Solaris distro options.

Is there a particular option that the OP needs to address, or is just a 
general Unix based OS+ZFS required?
