I had one of those. I finally couldn't cope with its increasing
blurriness and washed-out color any more and replaced it with a 28" LCD,
and have never looked back.

The original 28" LCD failed three times within its three-year warranty
period and the manufacturer, Hanns-G, basically refused to honor the
warranty, which is why I'm now using a 30" 2560x1600 LCD. We don't
have a CRT monitor left in the house except for the collection of legacy
CRT TVs for antique videogame consoles, and I've had to refuse to allow
any more CRTs into the house.
