[rescue] SmartOS (Illumos / OpenSolaris based) - anyone know anything about it?

Looks like OpenSolaris --> Illumos + (stuff from Joyent, specifically
KVM virtualization) .

Wondering if anyone has any experience or knowledge about this?  Could
be a near-dropin replacement for those familiar with Solaris and are
worried about licensing ?
