I find that my V240 is quieter than my HP DL1xx machine, as well as
being quieter than the V210 I briefly had at my house.

Of course, both machines that I've found to be louder were 1U instead of
2U. 

It is also quieter, just for the heck of comparison, than my NetApp FC-9
disk array (now actually connected to a NetApp).
