A square meter and a few circuits supplying at most 60A at 240V should
do it. To me that sounds like a trivial amount of space, and most any
domicile on the power grid in North America should be able to supply
that much power. I might suggest keeping the windows open for cooling,
however.
Of course, if there are any steps (or even large bumps) that you need to
get the machines over in order to move it in, the task becomes
remarkably non-trivial. That's why my garage now has a ramp that can
easily handle a couple of tons of weight. :) I've pushed machines
weighing over 1000lbs up it by myself.
