OpenBSD on SPARC hardware has been dead reliable for my firewalls and 
web server for several years. Granted the newest SPARC hardware I have 
used with OBSD is a dual-cpu SPARC20, but it has been solid, pf is 
great, and the ports collection supplies more stuff that I could ever need.
