I respect him for sticking to his principles, but that doesn't mean I  
share them.

To be honest I think he's the product of several forces that all  
coalesced at a point in time in the AI labs at MIT/Harvard (he worked  
at both IIRC)... That may never happen again.

I read anO'Reilly book about him (Free as in beer?), it was interesting.
