Right - I skipped a bit of detail. I compiled from source & launched it in
the same manner you did. I just get a socket reset error whilst connecting.
I do have multiple NICs on different networks in the 'ol Mac Pro, so I may
have to specify the IP address.

I will be using x3270, as linked by MrBill. I loaded it on Ubuntu from

Looks like I compiled the app you're using as a pre-built on ubuntu. I'll
keep plugging at it.
