This is a true statement. I would also add that the disk controller is 
much faster on the Netra X1/V100 machines than the U5/U10 machines.

I think there is a hardware bug in the controller that has been 
discussed on this list in the past. (I think it was only capable of 
Mode-4 / 16 Megabytes/s)

Expected performance would be at lest twice as much bandwidth to the 
disk than a U5/U10 to a decent hard disk (I'm thinking about 30 to 35 
Megabytes/s).

I have a X1 that I like quite a bit.
