Possibly, though I think HDTV involves interlacing and such.

Maybe.  I don't know whether Solaris gets along with custom
resolutions.  I know NetBSD doesn't object, but that doesn't mean
anything about Solaris.

MemoryX has them - see http://www.memoryxsun.com/vsimm.html, which
links to, eg, http://www.memoryxsun.com/5012482.html.  That's a bit
expensive, though, unless you're pressed for time; I've gotten them
much cheaper by asking around, eg here or NetBSD's port-sparc list.
