802.11b works on most of them

If you're lucky enough to have one of the ones with
cardbus slots (IIe, viper, sparcbook 5000, 6500 etc) -
there was an unreleased 802.11g driver that worked
with a limited set of pcmcia cards (original prism
chipset)

I have said driver & several of those cards - as long
as you have the right chipset pcmcia card - you have
54g on the tadpole.
