I use 13w3 >> VGA adapters on my Ultra 60 and SS5. They seem to work
ok. They aren't as cheap as they ought to be, but they seem to work
for me. Of course you get into the Sun vs. SGI adapter argument if
you go down that route. I bought Generic ones from a small UNIX
specialist and they seem to work on both OK.

In my limited experience, if you want to use higher-powered Sun video
adapters of the pre-DVI era then really you need 13w3 support of some
kind. While low-end machines like the U5/10 had VGA and some PCI and
later UPA frame-buffers also had VGA, all the early stuff, right up
to cards like the Elite3D-m6 had 13w3. It's unlikely you'll find
anything with native VGA for a Ultra-2 (don't know for 100% sure) so
an adapter is probably the way forward.
