The Raq4 is an AMD powered x86 platform... but with custom firmware.
I have a Raq3 I extensively modded. I did get slackware up and running
on it.
It was not a pleasant experience. I made several mods to slackware setup to
get it to work with Raq netboot install 'rig' (booting kernel via net
and installing
via NFS (and using a NFS root)).
I've shelved it again, because it started not booting sometimes (it
would hang
during boot). If it booted all the way it seemed fine. But my intended
use for
it required it be reliable (even though home use). They seem to be
finicky about
the RAM too.
