Where do I find a place to stick my name on a buyer's list? You know, 
where a group of people pool their money to get a good deal.

At my company we balked at buying a somewhat specialized part because we 
needed "1" and the minimum was 5. At 5 x the $ we chose to use a 
workaround. A few years ago one manufacturer would build a certain PCB 
without a perceived market for a 20 of them, so I said "put me on the 
list", but said he did not keep such a list.

Anybody know a place where people try to put together buying groups?
