Actually, machines that were configured with any of the three would come 
with just the IMPACT badge, if memory serves.  It's been a little while.

You'll know either when you boot the machine up the first time, or when 
you open it the first time.  The boards themselves are quite different 
in size.

You mean IRIX 6?  I don't believe IRIX ever got to 8.
