It also has the undesirable side effect of making you feel quite ill

No true. Good continental (European for those who don't live next to
the place) lagers and Corona Extra are best served cold and *do*
actually taste half-decent. Of course you comment is perfectly valid
in the case of mass-brewed commercial lagers from the US and UK -
most of them are... for want of a better term (and being polite
enough not to cuss)... crap.
