Probably very easily. IONIZATION detectors are not very good anyway.

They are cheap, easy to manufacture and don't get clogged by dust. 

However, properly maintained photoelectric and heat detectors are much
better. The nice thing about photoelectric detectors is they "fail safe",
i.e. when they become too blocked with dust or airborne grease, etc.
they go off instead of becoming less sensitive.

Does this mean that wrist watches, tritium gun sights, etc are banned?
Vacuum tubes with rare earth filaments?
