[rescue] I got a new Octane! Why can't I talk to it?

    Yes, that's the case.  Except for mine where the red light comes
on for a bit and then the panel goes dark.  Why does one suppose SGI
decided to use (two) incandescent bulbs in that instead of a green
(or even amber) LED or two?
