Yes, the original vt100 was nice and heavy.  Then again, so was the
terminal as I recall.

Everything since them seems to have gone to mushy keyboards.

For example, the keyboards at my alma-mater in the late 80s were almost
all vt220's and the keyboards felt like tight springs.  Horrible feel.

Could you get better ones that were more like the vt100?

I would not mind finding some and tossing my current vt mushboards.
