...provided you only need one IP address.  Hence, mine is configured to
be a media-converted only.  I have a BSD box doing the PPPoE[0] garbage.


[0] Still don't understand how the -phone company- (which has a
     dedicated circuit per-customer, and they -have to- know what goes
     where) requires PPPoE and the cable company (which uses a
     shared-media network) doesn't.  I suspect the answer rhymes with
     "mucking boots".
