[rescue] NeWS

I used NeWS to do some research stuff -- plots and such.  I think you 
all are being a little unfair, as it was really only in its infancy, and 
hadn't been developed to its potential.  

I have a copy of News 1.0 -- if anyone has a later edition, I would be 
interested in it.
