Wow, can you enlighten us about this some more?

The background is that I borrowed a U2, ran it with Linux some time 
(worked 100% stable with a good kernel). Then I gave it back and the 
owner installed Solaris on it and is complaining that is sometimes shut 
down by itself. They suspect a power supply failure.

How can I tell whether the power manager has been set up (a process with 
specific name maybe)? What is the correct way to disable it?
