[rescue] Sun Ultra 1 boot failure

On my Sun Ultra 1 I'm getting boot failures with NetBSD:

	"The file just loaded does not appear to be executable."

According to the documentation, this is because my PROM is too old.

However, I have OBP 3.11, which I thought was new enough to support
NetBSD and most anything else.

Ideas?

Should I upgrade the PROM anyway?
