Each November, I climb onto the roof (which is flat) and lie
on my back trying to get my eyes as wide as possible (if standing,
I could see horizon to horizon here... no trees or tall buildings)
to take in as much of the night sky as possible.  You can often
see 30 an hour without even "trying".

One of the few things that can truly take my breath away
(says cynical old fart...).
