I was raised in Georgia, where Midwestern winter weather and New Jersey
pollution on the news was high comedy.

However, idling along the highway at three AM, in the band's van, a sleeping
girl's head on my shoulder, waiting for the deer to move off the highway
under the full moon made me understand why it's the "Garden State" Parkway.
