The original server I had here used to be a dual PPro-200 (had a really 
big SuperMicro P6DNF motherboard

The current machine (got it for free in fall 2004) is a Compaq Proliant 
6500 (2x500mhz P3 Xeon, Quad capable, 1.8gb RAM, etc).  At the previous 
owner's home, it had about 19 scsi drives (most were full-height drives 
lol), and eventually that machine combined with some others tripped a 
breaker (using over 15 amps in that room is *a lot* of juice). Right now 
it has 7 drives total (I have the backup drives automatically shut off 
after usage to save power) and I also pulled out the redundant power 
supply and 3 of the fans to save power (checked cooling during it, and it 
was fine).  But with all the fans and both power supplies in it, that 
thing is a monster (it's a 7U rackmount machine).
