The behavior of any specific model of disk is not at the same layer of
abstraction as the interconnect.  There likely exist FC drives whose
reordering logic is flawed to the point of being effectively
nonexistent.  It'd be Really Nice if the industry would consolidate so
many of these redundant technologies since, as you pointed out, the
performance differences these days primarily come from the drives
themselves: better heat-fins, smarter control logic, faster drive
motors, etc.  I guess that's the beauty of SATA/SAS.
