Here is a thought... if Apple tries to go proprietary, folks will
figure out a way to run it on regular hardware under Linux or XP using
VMWare or VirtualPC or QEMU or whatnot, with a copied ROM... just like
you can use MacOnLinux to run OSX under Linux.
